1941 - 2009 Obituary Condolences
Defender of the "Constitution of the United States of America," "private property rights" and "rights of the individual."
Jerry was born April 17, 1941, in Dallas, Texas. He was raised by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.V. Skiles (deceased). He joined the Marines when he was 16 years old and was discharged in May 1961. He married his wife, Wanda, on June 10, 1961, moved to New Mexico in October 1979 and remained there until he passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009.
He is survived by his wife 48 years, Wanda Carroll; his four half sisters, Bonnie Leonard and Susan Herbelin, of Waco, Texas, Pat Rogers, of Inola, Okla., and Linda Elgin, of Wautaga, Texas; two half-brothers, Richard Birnbaun, of Quilan, Texas, and Ralph Birnbaun, of Waco; his uncle, James Skiles, of Pinson, Ala.; and his aunt, Fay Wilson, of Rockwall, Texas.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
