Jimmie Dwain James Obituary

In memory of our loving father and grandfather, Jimmie Dwain James.

Jimmie, 82, passed away on Oct. 7, 2014, in Alamogordo, surrounded by family.

He was born in Littlefield, Texas, on Sept. 9, 1932. He lived in Tularosa most of his life.
He also resided in Alamogordo and Mission, Texas. He was retired. He owned and operated the James Exxon service station in Tularosa for 20 years. He also worked at the White Sands Missile Range.
He was a long-time member of the Tularosa Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports and spending time with his family.
Jimmie is a native of Tularosa, but was residing in Alamogordo at the time he passed.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Frazier James of Alamogordo; his daughters; Denise Rector of Whiteface, Texas, and Dee Dee Tharp of Edinburg, Texas; one brother; Bill Lasater of Whiteface, Texas; his grandchildren; Kimberly Carson Morales of McAllen, Texas, Christopher Carson of Bentonville, Ariz.; Neecy Rector Reyna of Whiteface, Texas; Kristen Tharp of Spring, Texas; a niece: Lyndsey Lasater Bloxom of Whiteface, Texas; nephews: Bobby Covington of Houston and Jimmy Covington of Charleston,W.V.; along with great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Reyna and Haleigha Reyna of Whiteface, Texas; Alexis Morales, Aislyn Morales, Emma Morales, and Isabela Morales all from McAllen, Texas; and Chloe and Nathan Carson of Bentonville, Ariz.
Jimmie was preceded in his death by his loving mother, Mary Lavada Newton Lasater; stepfathers, Virgil Melvin James and Fred Lasater; a daughter, Jolene James;a sister, Betty Jean Covington; and his brother, Kenneth Newton James.
