Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Donald T. Ziegenfuss and son Donald J. Ziegenfuss.

Joanne was the loving mother of four sons. During her wonderful life, she accumulated over 20,000 hours of volunteer work, starting as an American Red Cross volunteer in hospitals in the early 1950s. She held positions as President of the Officers' Wives Club and theater clubs. Joanne was known as a successful director of theater productions.
Joanne loved the mountains and moved with her family to Silver Cloud in 1994.

Those left to mourn her passing are sons Brian C. Ziegenfuss and his wife Beth (Watkins) of Clarksville, Tenn., Michael H. Ziegenfuss of Cloudcroft, and Joseph P. Ziegenfuss, also of Cloudcroft; grandchildren Kadi L. Torres and her husband Timothy of Blakeslee, Pa., and Tyler J. Shrum of Clarksville, Tenn.; and great-grandson Timothy John Torres.

Her family and friends will miss her so much. A special thanks is extended to all the nurses and doctors who cared for Joanne, to include the wonderful people at Alamogordo Home Care, and a special thanks to Cathy DeHerrera.

The family of Joanne Ziegenfuss will hold a private ceremony and, in lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Humane Society.
