Joaquina Crawford Arenas Obituary
Joaquina Crawford Arenas, 96, passed away on January 24, 2018, in Keller, TX. She was born on September 14, 1921, in Three Rivers, NM, to Matilde and Eloisa (Crawford) Arenas.

Joaquina moved to Los Angeles, CA, at the age of eighteen, to look for employment during the great depression, to help the family. She was able to find employment at Sears and Roebuck. She stayed employed for forty-five years, attaining the standing of the longest employee that Sears and Roebuck ever had. For this achievement, she was awarded the Diamond Award. After her retirement, she moved to Albuquerque, NM. She moved to Keller, TX, to be with her younger brother, Arturo, until his passing in 2017. She was a single woman but had many nephews and nieces all over the country.

Joaquina was preceded in death by her parents, Matilde and Eloisa Arenas, her sister, Clara Ramirez, and brothers, Viviano Arenas (Birdie) and Arturo Arenas.

The Vigil with the Rosary will be recited at St Jude Parish at 9:00 am on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Jude Parish on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10:00 am with Fr. Tom Hoffman SJ, celebrant.

Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
