Obituary Condolences

Joe D. Delgado, 60, of Alamogordo, passed away, Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Alamogordo.
Delgado was born Oct. 23, 1948, in Alamogordo, to Jose D. and Juanita (Maes) Delgado. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose D. Delgado; his grandparents, Hilario and Maria Maes, and Pedro and Mariana Delgado; and a nephew, Antonio Delgado.
Survivors include his mother, Juanita M. Delgado, of Alamogordo; two sons, David Chavez, of Ruidoso, and Marcelino Gallegos, who is serving in the Air Force; four sisters, Helen Viscarra-Reno and her husband, Robert, Felipa Kinsey, Mary Ann Deitz and her husband, Joe, and Mary Lou Sandoval and her husband, Sal; two brothers, Jimmy Delgado and his wife, Mary, and Larry Delgado and his wife, Mary Ellen; two goddaughters, Natasha Delgado and Daniella Sandoval, all of Alamogordo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by Deacon Don Dickman.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Father Bryant Hausfeld, O.F.M., celebrant.
Cremation will take place at PCS. Private inurnment will take place at a later date, with military honors provided by the New Mexico Army National Guard.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, at Alamogordo Funeral Home. The Delgado family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral arrangements.
