Joe E. Paz
Joe E. Paz, resident of Mira Loma, passed away at home at the age of 68. Joe was born in Fillmore on Dec. 31, 1941. He was a licensed barber and also worked as an office furniture upholsterer with Steelcase Inc. for over 27 years. Joe served proudly in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a longtime parishioner at St. Mel Catholic Church in Norco, Calif.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Apolinar S. and Frances E. Paz and 12 siblings.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia; daughter Valerie; sons Edward and James, all from Mira Loma, Calif., and son Joe Jr. and his wife, Mindy, and their three daughters, of San Marcos, Calif.; sisters Emelia Moncada and Genevive Montoya; brothers Raul Paz and Manuel Paz, both of Corona, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will take place on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at noon. All will take place at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary at 11500 Arlington Ave., Riverside, CA 92505. Interment will follow at Riverside National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. at staging area No. 2 at 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
