Joe Pagliasotti Obituary
Joe Pagliasotti, 72, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011, in Las Cruces. He was born April 29, 1939, in Denver to Joseph and Anne Pagliasotti.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Pagliasotti.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Pagliasotti, and daughter Michelle Pagliasotti, of Vernal, Utah; grandchildren Angela Cook, of Vernal, and David Snell, of South Riding, Va.; and seven great- grandchildren.
Joe served his country as a proud Marine "Semper Fi." He later worked for the United States Post Office in Denver and went to college at Metro State in Denver, graduating with a degree in accounting. He then went to work for Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management and Office of the Inspector General in Washington, D.C., retiring in April 1995. He had several things that he liked to do and one was reading. He also liked hiking, fishing, archery and crossword puzzles. He participated in the Senior Olympics in the archery division.
He will be missed by his family and friends. Joe had two special ladies that he called his "daughters" and they are Melissa Babcock and Diane Ragen. They were there for him throughout his illness.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 11 a.m. at First Assembly Worship Center with Pastor David Crispin officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the U.S. Marine Corps.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Otero Community Cancer Center, 2559 Medical Drive, Suite G, Alamogordo, NM 88310 or to your favorite charity.
The Pagliasotti family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at PCS.
