Beloved family man
On April 6, 1927, Joe was born to Sisto and Theresa (Garcia) Garcia. On March 7, 2008, in Alamogordo, he went home to his maker at the age of 80.
While growing up with his many siblings and extended family, Joe enjoyed hunting and working on the family farm. In 1945, Joe began serving in the Army until he was honorably discharged. Joe then stated his career in the civil service as a munitions supervisor at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, from which he was retired. 
On March 5, 1955, at the age of 27, Joe married the love of his life, Josephine "Jo" (Granados) in Albuquerque. They were blessed with two children, Sabrina Marie and Joe Sisto Jr., and celebrated 53 years of marriage together. 
Joe was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans and a member of the American Legion. He was a devoted Christian and parishioner at St. Jude Mission.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Jo, who was his constant companion; brother Pete Garcia and wife Virginia, of La Luz; sisters, Susie Padilla, of Tularosa, and La La Gutierrez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Henry, Sisto and Angel; and sister Addie Salazar.
Joe loved celebrating and laughing with his beloved family, daughter Sabrina Garcia and partner Denise Webb, of Dunham, N.C.; son Joe Sisto Garcia Jr. and wife Sandy, of Huntsville, Ala.; and grandchildren Kristy Lynn, Ciara Renee Garcia and Zachary Joseph Garcia-Webb, whom his treasured and loved to share chocolates and sweets.
At his retirement, he enjoyed seeking solace at his beloved pecan orchard an La Luz, and spending time with his family and friends, but mostly with his devoted and beautiful wife, Josephine.
A rosary service will be recited by the Alter Rosary Society at 10:15 a.m. at St Jude Mission., followed at 11 a.m. by a memorial Mass celebrated by Father John Peterson, O.F.M. A reception will follow at St. Jude Reception Hall.

Cremation has taken place at PCS, entrusted to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
