Joe T. Valdez Obituary
The Lord sent his angels to lead Joe home to be with him in paradise Monday, Feb. 22, 2010.
Joe was born on April 13, 1950, a triplet, to Joe and Rose Valdez in Albuquerque.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dolores; two daughters, Donna and Debbie Valdez; and six grandchildren, Kristal and Felicia Gutierrez and Derek, Daviawna, Aveion and Jayden Valdez, all of Alamogordo. He is also survived by his twin sister Mary Ramirez and husband, Tony, of Albuquerque; brother Frank Valdez, of Tucson, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Jesus Valdez.
The rosary for Joe Valdez will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at Alamogordo Funeral Home by Deacon Don Dickman.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Bryant Hausfeld, O.F.M., as celebrant.
Pallbearers are Robert, Johnny and Abe Marquez; Paul Barraza; Gabriel Aldaz and Paul Aragon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Max Aldaz, Anthony Gutierrez, Tony Ramirez, Frank Valdez and godsons Derek Valdez, Isidro Valdez, Abe and Michael Marquez and Matthew Maynez.
Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to help with final expenses.
The Valdez family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
