June Emmert Obituary
June Emmert of Rockville, Md., and formerly of Pella, Iowa, passed away on Feb. 28, 2013, of congestive heart failure.
Born in Minnesota, June lived most of her life in Iowa. June and her husband, Rev. Glenn Emmert, lived in several small towns in Nebraska and Iowa.
June is survived by her sister Janice Vance, of St. Paul, Minn.; daughter Kathie, of Rockville; and three sons Arlan, of San Marino, Calif., Dan, of Jefferson, Iowa, and Dale, of Alamogordo. She had eight grandchildren including Korrie Johnson and Cameron Brace-Emmert, of Alamogordo.
June was born June 8, 1919, in a farm house near Richville, Minn., which was built by her parents, John and Cora Eppler Bixby. In 1942, she graduated from Northwestern Bible School in Minneapolis. After marrying Glenn Emmert in 1943, June worked as a pastor's wife for the next 52 years.
She was a very kind and patient woman who dedicated her life to teaching people that God sent his son Jesus into the world to show us how to live and redeem us from our sin. She lived her life by these words from 1 Corinthians 13:
"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends."
