Karen Jo Hall
Karen Jo Hall passed from this life on Oct. 12, 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospice Care in Darlinghurst, New South Wales, Australia.
Karen was born Jan. 3, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas to Joe and June (Smith) Hall.
She is survived by her parents of Port Ludlow, Wash.; her brother Matt Hall and his children Genki and Jumi of Norfolk, Va.; and her long-time partner Kevin Gill of Marrickville, NSW. Karen is also survived by aunt and uncle Frank and Mazie Ryburn of Lubbock, uncle Jim Stapp of Los Alamos, uncle Chuck McNiel of Tularosa, aunt Lessie (Smith) Porter, uncle Hunter Smith and wife Bonnie all of Pinon; along with numerous cousins and her beloved dog DeeDee.
Karen was preceded in death by grandparents Walter and Etta Hall of Albuquerque; aunt Suzanne Stapp of Los Alamos; aunt Kick (Smith) McNiel of Tularosa; uncle Irving Porter of Pinon; and uncle Bob Hall.
Karen was a talented artist by trade and was educated in schools of the eastern United States, Chicago, Ill., Paris, France and made her home for many years in Sydney, Australia.
Per her direction, she will be laid to rest near her maternal grandparents, Alva and Ethel Smith, in Pinon. Graveside services will be held Monday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m. at Pinon Cemetery with a lunch reception to follow at the Pinon Club House.
