Kathleen W. ""Kay"" Bradley, 82
Kathleen W. ""Kay"" Bradley was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Norton, Texas, and passed away on Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at the age of 82.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. ""Bob"" Bradley Sr., and Albert and Ruth Drake.
Kay is survived by her sister Della Ruth Smith, of Las Cruces; brothers Wilburn Drake and his wife, Mary, of Alamogordo, and Lecil Drake and his wife, Jan, of Truth or Consequences; and her three children, Linda Callahan, of Alamogordo, Robert H. (Bob) Bradley Jr. and his wife, Donna, of La Luz, and Cindy Robberts and her husband, Kerry, of Grants. Survivors also include 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Kay has been a resident of Otero County since she was 10 years old. Her family lived in High Rolls for approximately two years and then moved to Alamogordo, where she met and fell in love with Bob at the movie theater. Her children would like everyone to know that Kay loved the city and volunteered at many activities, including the hospital auxiliary and the senior citizen's center, where she enjoyed working with all her friends. She was a member of the Cuba Avenue Church of Christ as well as an active member of the Does Auxiliary of the Elks. As you remember Kay, we hope you will smile with fond memories of playing games, fishing, dancing, traveling and enjoying her family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Cuba Avenue Church of Christ with Al Maxey officiating and assisted by Billy Tucker.
Pallbearers include Jimmy Yee, Tom Overstreet, Orville Heltzel, Billy Tucker, Ricky Robbins and Skip Gilgan.
Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery in Alamogordo.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
The Bradley family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
