1920 - 2007 Obituary Condolences
Kathryn "Kay" J. Wolfe, 87, of Alamogordo, left this world peacefully Nov. 13, 2007, surrounded by her family.
Kathryn was born in Casselton, N.D., on July 19, 1920, to John and Bernice (Gill) Sinner. After high school, Kathryn attended St. John's Nursing School in Fargo, N.D. She served in the Army Nurse Corps as a lieutenant from 1943 to 1946. She continued in nursing at Fort Logan Veteran's Hospital in Colorado, where she met her husband, Charles M. Wolfe, as a patient. They married in 1949. After 53 years of marriage he passed in July 2002.
Kathryn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and volunteer. For 40 years, she spent her summers at the family cabin. She was a member of St. Jude Parish.
Survivors include six children: Susie Anderson, Kathryn and husband Eugene Cecava, Mary Prosoco and Tim and his wife Terry Wolfe, all of Alamogordo, James and his wife Lisa Wolfe, of Salt Lake City, and Monica Fisk, of Ruidoso; 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brother Dan Sinner, of West Fargo, N.D. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brother Jack; sister Phyllis; and grandson Matthew Prosoco.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at St. Jude Mission with Father Wayne Herpin, S.J., celebrant.

Cremation has taken place locally at PCS, entrusted to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
