Kay Arlene "Kay Kay" Fisher, 75
Kay Arlene "Kay Kay" Fisher, 75, passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, in Alamogordo. Kay was born Sept. 6, 1934, in Shawnee, Okla., to John S. Sr. and Inez A. (Royster) Lyle. She graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1952. She was married to the love of her life, Felix Boyd Fisher Jr., on June 28, 1952, in Broken Arrow, Okla. Kay was the first of four children born in Shawnee.
Kay was survived by two daughters, Amy B. Fenner and her husband, Allen, of Gillette, Wyo., and Kathy G. Fisher, of Concord, N.H.; five grandchildren, April Goddard and her husband, Darren, of Gilmer, Texas, Boyd Wolff, of Casper, Wyo., Christal Porter and her husband, David, of Bradford, N.H., Jacob Fisher, of Las Cruces, and Katie Jo Fisher, of Concord; eight great-grandchildren, Sage Goddard, of Interlochen, Mich., Austin Goddard, Gage Goddard, Braeden Goddard and Parker Goddard, of Gilmer, Texas, and Savanna Porter, Tristin Porter and Riley Porter, of Bradford; two sisters, Judy Friend and her husband, Travis, of Odessa, Texas, and Linda Flippo and her husband, Larry, of Silver City; one brother, John S. Lyle Jr. and his wife, Shirley, of Amarillo, Texas; nieces and nephews Holly Friend, of Albuquerque, Julie Clemenson, of Scranton, Ark., Kirk Friend, of Casper, Christy Castleberry, of San Antonio, Texas, Andy Lyle, of Midland, Texas, Tony Lyle, of New Deal, Texas, Robin Peterson, of Silver City, Chad Flippo, of Greensborough, N.C., and Mandy Mata, of Silver City; nine grand nieces and eight grand nephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Felix Boyd Fisher Jr., in October 1987 by cancer, and her parents John and Inez.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member and huge supporter, with Pastor Jeff May.
Kay's family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral arrangements. Cremation will take place locally at PCS.
