Kenneth D Miller, 60 , peacefully went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Ken was born August 11, 1957 in Alamogordo, NM to Ben F. Miller Jr. and Emma Jean (Kelly) Miller.

Surviving him are his beloved and faithful canine companion, Star; brother Ben Miller III (Elizabeth) of Rio Rancho, NM; sisters Kelly (Jan) Bostick of Alamogordo, NM and Tina Martin (Tim) of Swansea, SC; nephews Brandon Bostick, Michael Dixon and Mason Dixon, all of Alamogordo, NM, Joshua Martin of Hurlburt Field, FL, Jacob Martin of Swansea, SC, and Stephen Meyer and family of Soldotna, AK; nieces Tabatha Martin and family of W. Columbia, SC, Tonya Ray (Terry) and family of Merced, CA; great nieces Alana Bostick of Alamogordo, NM and Krystal (Miller) Welker and family of Seligman, MO, Mercedes and Tiffany Harris-Green of Rio Rancho, NM; stepsisters Becky (Oakes) Ross (Adam) of La Luz, NM and daughter Dawn (Pender) Flowers (Zachary) and family of Ruidoso, NM and Jackie Oakes of Las Cruces, NM and her daughter Stephanie (Gipson) Maddox (William) of Alamogordo, NM; James Richards of Las Vegas, NV and Timothy Richards of Alamogordo, NM, and Joanie Lasiter of Las Cruces, NM. Dear friends, David Buys of Brownwood, TX, Shelly Riegert (Brian) and family of Alamogordo, NM and Marissa Ochoa of Alamogordo, NM, will all miss him a great deal.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Miller, his mother, Emma Jean (Kelly) Miller, his father, Ben F. Miller Jr., his nephew, Bentley Cruz Bostick, his stepsister, Debby (Oakes) May, and niece Christy (Meyer) Chavez.

As our brother did not want to leave his earthly home in a box, cremation will take place, and at a later date, his immediate family will pick a beautiful, sunny, warm day and honor his wishes by taking him, one final time, to one of his favorite spots. We are blessed to have had him in our lives and pray he has found peace and joy beyond all understanding.

Rather than having a traditional memorial graveside service, his family welcomes a gathering of friends and family between the hours of 6-8 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Mountain View Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 1900 23rd Street, Alamogordo, NM.

We respectfully ask that no flowers be sent. Should friends and family desire to do so, we ask that a donation be given to the iHOPE Recovery Outreach Ministry, c/o Pastor Anthony Torres, 1900 23rd Street, Alamogordo, NM, 88310. This particular ministry serves veterans and others in our community struggling with PTSD and/or alcohol and drug addiction. A donation to the is also welcomed and appreciated.

The Miller family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the funeral services. Cremation will take place at PCS.
