Laura-Ashley Lewis  Obituary
Laura-Ashley Lewis was placed in the arms of Jesus after a long fight with epilepsy on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. She lived with her parents Leonard and Lillie Lewis in Alamogordo.
Laura-Ashley has three sisters, Tina and Michelle Lewis, of Albuquerque, and Danielle Lewis, of Boston. Her brother of the heart is Jeremiah Lewis.
Laura-Ashley's maternal grandmother is Ruby Mitchell, of Whatley, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather John Mitchell, and paternal grandparents James and Para Lee Lewis.
Laura-Ashley has been blessed by the love and devotion of her honorary grandparents Charlie and Dorothy Smith, and honorary aunt Patricia Dickenson. A host of uncles, aunts and friends complete the circle of love that surrounded Laura-Ashley's life.
Laura-Ashley loved music. It was her comfort and joy. Her favorite song was "Jesus Loves Me." No matter how sick, stressed or unhappy, this song always brought a smile to her face and calmed her fears. Laura-Ashley can now experience the true meaning of this song in heaven.
Funeral services for Laura-Ashley will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Corinth Baptist Church, 400 Delaware Ave., Alamogordo, with the Rev. James Forney officiating.
Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.
The Lewis family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
