Lawrence Hanway, 86, a former resident of Alamogordo and Tularosa, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, in Truth or Consequences, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Larry was born April 12, 1922, in New York. He served his country honorably in the Army, and owned several businesses in the Alamogordo-Tularosa area. Larry now joins his wife, "Babe," and daughter Linda.
Survivors include four sons, Jerry Hanway and wife, Rita, of Carlsbad, Robert Hanway and wife, Mary Ann, of Alamogordo, and Richard Hanway and wife, Dolores, and Billy Hanway and wife, Yolanda, all of Las Cruces; one daughter, Janie Davey and husband, Timothy, of Decatur, Ala.; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. 
In memory of Lawrence – "Give someone you love a hug."
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
