Obituary Condolences

Lorena E. Otero, 83, passed away at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008. Lorena was a World War II war bride to Ernest Z. Otero, who is deceased.
She is survived by a very large and loving family that includes sons George Otero and wife Mercy, Anthony Otero and wife Annette, Ralph Otero and wife Monica, Angelo Otero, Jude Otero and wife Karen and Pio Otero and wife Stacey, daughters Mary Elizabeth Smith, Emolene Carpenter and husband Dr. Samuel Carpenter, and Mary Olida Lyon, 26 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and brother Juan Torres.
She was preceded in death sons Michael Joseph Otero and Ernest Otero Jr., grandson Barry Todd Wick and seven brothers and sisters.
Lorena was a member of St. Francis de Paula Church of Tularosa for the last 25 years.
Family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at St. Frances de Paula Catholic Church.
The Rosary will be recited by Mrs. Otero at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at St. Frances de Paula Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at St. Frances de Paula Catholic Church with Father John Peterson, O.F.M., Celebrant.
Pallbearers include Derek Otero, Kevin Jaramillo, Ernest Otero III, Raphael Otero, Anthony Otero Jr., Jude Otero, Christopher Trujillo, Jude Otero and Justus Otero.
Honorary Pallbearers include Gabriel Otero, Michael Otero, Marina Otero, Cindy Jaramillo, Edward Cano and Danny Cordova.
The Otero family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct services.
