Lori Jo King Obituary

Lori Jo King, daughter of Susie M. (Stogden) and Gary G. King, was born in La Mirada, California.

Lori passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Lori is at peace after a battle with serious health issues.

Lori was always there for family, friends and everyone to help them and support them. She was the kindest most thoughtful and considerate person to all who knew her, and always put other's needs ahead of her own.

Lori and family moved back to Alamogordo, her Mother's (Susie M. Stogden) home and birthplace, in August 1976 at age 6. She was a graduate of Alamogordo High School and was the Setter for the Alamogordo State Champion Volley Ball Team in 1986 -her Senior year. She was an outstanding fast pitch softball catcher, and was twice named the Alamogordo Softball League's Most Valuable Player.

Lori played Soccer and Softball at College of The Southwest in Hobbs. She graduated with a Degree in Business from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. She then attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces and graduated with an Accounting Degree.

Lori lived in her Las Cruces home with her long time partner and spouse Ida Marie Hernandez .

Lori is survived by her spouse Ida Hernandez, her parents Susie M. and Gary G. King and her beloved brother Darren and his partner Adam; uncle Earnest Stogden and wife Judy, uncle Dwayne King, Aunt Sadie Stogden (uncle Robert "Bobby" Stogden deceased); cousins: Ernest Stogden, Donald Stogden, Karen Gutierrez, Bobbie Grace, Anthony Stogden, Billy Stogden, Melissa Ariola, Alfonso Stogden, Patrick King, David King, Ryan King and Kevin King. She is also survived by her beloved godson Jessie Ariola.

We will be celebrating Lori's life with a Memorial Service at First Christian Church in Las Cruces, 1809 EI Paseo Rd - across from Las Cruces High School, on Monday, June 15, at 10 a.m.

All family and friends are invited to celebrate Lori's life. Lori dedicated her life to spreading Love, Joy and Happiness and the World is a better place because of Lori.
