Lorraine J. Armijo Obituary
My beautiful sister Lorraine J. Armijo went on to be with our lord on Monday, April 16, 2012.
She passed away in her home in Tularosa at 7:55 p.m. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she slipped into the tender arms of her lord Jesus Christ. Lorraine was born in Las Vegas, N.M. on Sept. 1, 1932, to Manuel and Julieta (Sosa) Pollack.
She was preceded in death by her brother William (Roy) Pollack and sister Marie (Tiny) Martinez.
Lorraine is survived by sisters Louisa Cordova, of Albuquerque, Hope Poma, of Romulus, Mich., and Angel Garcia, of Albuquerque; brothers Robert M. Pollack, of Alamogordo, and Gabriel Pollack, of Albuquerque; and two sons, Thomas and Richard Armijo, of San Diego.
A memorial service is planned for Lorraine on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Tularosa, 500 Granado St. Pastor Mike Cannon will officiate.
Lorraine was an active member of Chapter Tuli-Roses and the Red Hat Society.
The family of Lorraine would like to extend a special "thank you" to her loving caregiver, Marina Cloyd, who was by her side 24/7, and to the wonderful and caring staff of hospice, namely, Erva Yarborough, Michelle Kotan and Nancy Burns. You are all angels. Thank you all so much for your loving and tender care of my sister. You treated her with the dignity and compassion that she deserved as a child of God. God bless you all. She will be greatly missed.
The Armijo family has entrusted Lorraine to the care of Hamilton-O' Dell Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
