Luis Eduardo Rico Sr. 'Louie' 1919-2010
Luis E. Rico 92 Passed away Sept. 23, 2010, in Tucson, Ariz. He was born March 9, 1919, in Chihuahua, Mexico. He is survived by his wife Dolores M. Rico and his six children, Luis E. Rico Jr., his wife Alice, Raul Rico, his wife Margaret, Peter J. Rico, his wife Edie, Charlie Rico his wife Jean, Irene Sullivan her husband Mark, and Julie Woodard, her husband Jackson, along with 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alejandro Rico, and Julia Rico, his brother Alejandro Rico, his wife Helen Rico and his loving dog Coco.
He lived in Alamogordo for 32 years. Luis worked for Carter Tobacco Candy Co. out of El Paso, Texas for 30-plus years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in the garden. He was a great man in many ways to his family, and always helping his friends and neighbors. If you knew Mr. Rico you knew how much he loved his family and friends. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Elks Club.
Services will be held in El Paso, Texas on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church on 9025 Diana Drive and laid to rest at Rest Lawn Cemetery 8817 Dyer Street both in El Paso, Texas.
