1937 - 2011 Obituary Condolences
Lydia S. Olivarez, 73, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, in El Paso. She was born Aug. 29, 1937, in Strawn, Texas, to Rosalio and Felicitas (Sosa) Salazar.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel F. Olivarez Sr.; daughter Patricia Olivarez, of Alamogordo; son Daniel Olivarez Jr. and wife, Risa; grandchildren Karlei and Cody Olivarez, of Las Cruces; brothers Rosalio "Charlie" Salazar Jr., of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Victor Salazar, of Strawn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 705 Delaware Ave., Alamogordo, by Mrs. Estela Valle. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the church following the rosary with Juan Montoya, O.F.M., as celebrant.
Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Charlie Salazar, Victor Salazar, David Salazar, David Salazar, Juan Trujillo, Sammy Ortega and Joaquin Rodriguez.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel.
The Olivarez family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
