Lynn M. Rogers, 89 of Tularosa, was gently called home by his lord on Thursday, April 15, 201,0 at his home after a short bout with cancer.
He was born Nov. 23, 1920, in Porterville, Calif., to Herbert Luther and Sara Bell (Burkes) Rogers. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific where he was a signalman on the flagship USS Burleigh. He was a strong and gentle Christian with deep convictions. A caring, dedicated husband, a loving and nurturing father and grandfather. He loved life and had a great sense of adventure. He made friends wherever he went and knew no enemies. As the family patriarch, he was a blessing to us all and an amazing example who will be greatly missed.
