Obituary Condolences

Malcolm T. Blake, 48, a lifelong resident of Alamogordo, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, in Alamogordo.
Malcolm was born July 8, 1960 in Alamogordo. After graduating from Alamogordo High School in 1979, he worked for many years with the city of Alamogordo. He then was the superintendent at Apache Mesa Golf Course at Holloman Air Force Base.
Survivors include three sons, Malcolm Brandon Blake, Thomas Phillip Blake and Jordan Quinten Blake, all of Alamogordo; two daughters, Kristen Ann Blake, and Stephanie Marie Blake, both of Alamogordo; three grandchildren, Kalista Kelis Garnes, Deidre Lordes Blake, and Josiah Gregory Blake, all of Alamogordo; his mother Ruby Fritz of Lompoc, Calif.; father Ray Blake of El Paso; three sisters, Gayle Valrie and her husband, Andre, Neena Fritz and Junia Richardson and her husband James, all of Lompoc; a brother Roger Fritz of Alamogordo; his former wife Barbara Lisa Blake of Alamogordo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Malcolm was preceded in death by a sister Stephanie Fritz; a brother Kenneth Ray Blake; his grandmother Mary Harper; and his step grandfather Harley Maddox.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m. at Monte Vista Cemetery with the Rev. James Forney officiating.
Services are under the direction of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
