Manuel Ysco Gutierrez Obituary

Manuel Ysco Gutierrez, 100, went to be with the Lord and to be reunited with the love of his life, Beatrice, on July 21, 2014. He was surrounded by his family as he made his final journey.

Manuel was born on Oct. 20, 1913, in Marathon, Texas, to Santos and Ruperta Gutierrez.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Beatrice Gutierrez; his parents, and his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Anne Trujillo and her husband Fernando; his daughter, Manuela (Nellie) Gragido and her husband Robert; his son Richard Gutierrez; his son Ernest Gutierrez and his wife Jessie; his son, Manuel Gutierrez and his wife Darlene; his daughter, MaryAnn Hanway and her husband Robert. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Fernie Trujillo, Israel Trujillo, Karen Reyes, Andrea Gragido, Iyona Ramirez, Richard Gutierrez, Adrian Gutierrez, Ernesto Gutierrez, Javier Gutierrez, Jessabelle Valle, Richard Michael Gutierrez, Israel Gutierrez, Robert Chad Hanway, and Mandy Ortega, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Manuel lived a long and blessed life. He was loved by many. He will be truly missed, but his family finds comfort in knowing that he is at peace and with his loved ones that passed away before him. He had a strong will to live and an unwavering faith in God. He will forever be remembered as a hard-working man who loved his family. He brought joy to all who knew him. His legacy lives on through his family. His family will cherish the wonderful memories until they meet him again.

We will see all those we loved on Earth in heaven, and if we loved them here, we will love them 10,000 times more when we meet them there.

The rosary for Manuel Gutierrez will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., with Carlos Esimosa acting as celebrant.

The Gutierrez family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home, Inc. to direct the funeral services. Cremation will take place at PCS.
