Obituary Condolences

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend
Marjorie Maes, 75, of Alamogordo, passed away Sept. 21, 2008. She was born June 10, 1933, in Belfast, Maine, to the late Earl and Madelyn Waterman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was very active in the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed volunteering as the hospital chairman for the Women's Military Order of the Cooties Auxiliary. She loved to bake, crochet and do plastic canvas crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Edumenio Maes, of the family home; granddaughters Kristin Gauthier, of Las Cruces, and Rebecca Jenkins, of Alamogordo; daughter-in-law Kathryn Jenkins and husband, Vick, of Alamogordo; three brothers, Duane Waterman and wife, Darlene, of Livermore, Maine, John Waterman and fiancee, Karen, of Brunswick, Maine, and Paul Waterman, of Haver, Mont.; and one sister, Sharon Garcia and husband, Roland, of Jacksonville, Fla.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Gauthier; her parents; and brothers and sisters Billy, Everett, David, Nancy, Janet and Shirley.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Woodrow Fountain officiating.
The Maes family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral arrangements. Cremation will take place locally at PCS.
