1962 - 2012 Obituary Condolences
Mark Leith Price, 49, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in Alamogordo. He was born Wednesday, Sept. 19, 1962, in Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Ga., to Charlie Donald and Mary Mabel (Leith) Price.
He lived in several places, including twice in England and once in Spain.
In 1971, his family moved to Alamogordo, where he spent the rest of his life.
At age 13, he received the rank of Eagle Scout and became the youngest Boy Scout to achieve this rank. He also had the Order of the Arrow, an achievement that is a great honor in scouting.
Mark graduated from high school in 1980. He became a master electrician and was the owner of Price Electric and later Alamo Electric.
Mark is survived by his parents Charlie and Mary Price; his brother Charlie Jr. and wife, Lola; his sister Beth Kuhr and husband, Kris; nephews Jacob, James and Aaron Kuhr; niece Amanda Kuhr; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and Laura Larson, his former wife, who has been a dear friend of the whole family.
Memorial services for Mark will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel with Lester Stone and the Rev. Howell Scott officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the or to the Gideon Bibles.
The Price family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
