Loving wife, mother, Christian sister
Marsha K. Davisson, 55, of Alamogordo, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, in Alamogordo.
She was born Oct. 11, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., to Alvester Baker and Melba (Sander) Smith.
Marsha married John W. Davisson on April 15, 1989, in Dexter, Mo. They returned to Alamogordo in 2003 where she enjoyed a career of five years at both Community Christian School and Legacy Christian Academy. She served in the library and held various other administrative positions. Her compassion and care for people will be greatly missed.
Marsha also leaves behind her daughter Amy Sacha and her husband, Josiah, of Cape Girardeau; son John Davisson Jr., also of the family home; grandchildren include Chantelle Jackson, Juliette Rothley, Jacob and Zachariah Sacha; parents Alvester Baker and Melba Smith, of Cape Girardeau; sisters Sharon Lindsey, of Sedgewickville, Mo., and Patty Perry, of Cape Girardeau; brother Richard Baker, of Clarksville, Tenn.; and sister-in-law Judy Slaughter, of the family home. Marsha also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her sister Renee Baker, who passed away in 1973.
Memorial services for Marsha will be held today at 10 a.m. at Cottonwood Christian Fellowship Church with Pastors Robert Smith and Vaden Gilloth officiating.
Interment will take place at Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
Service arrangements are under the direction of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Marsha K. Davisson Memorial Fund at Legacy Christian Academy, 1206 Greenwood Lane, Alamogordo, NM 88310.
