Obituary Condolences

Martha Guerra, 52
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Martha Guerra, 52, of La Luz. Martha was born May 15, 1958, in Alamogordo to Manuel and Antonia Rodriguez. She graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1976, and was employed by Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center at the time of her untimely passing.
Martha enjoyed spending time with her family, fondly known as "The Enforcer," and dedicated 25 years on the softball field cheering on each of her daughters and granddaughter, in the process accumulating many other softball daughters that she loved like her own.
Martha is survived by her husband of 35 years, Henry Guerra; her parents Manuel and Antonia Rodriguez; brothers Art Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez Jr. and Albert Rodriguez; sister Hope Madrid; her three daughters, Jessica Banegas, Stephanie Breeden and Leiandra Mote; and her eight grandchildren, Aiyanna Guerra, Angel Banegas, Janaya DeLaO, Dionicio Banegas, Olivia Wilson, Isabel Romero, Gabriella Romero and Madilyn Mote. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and countless friends and colleagues. She will truly be missed.
Pallbearers will be her brothers Art Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez Jr. and Albert Rodriguez, and her brothers-in-law Dennis Guerra, Nick Guerra and Peter Madrid. Arrangements are being handled by Alamogordo Funeral Home.
The rosary will recited by Deacon Pete Schmucher at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Juan Montoya, OFM, as celebrant.
Family will greet friends and family from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday before the rosary.
The Guerra family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
