Mary Ann Campbell, 71
Mary Ann Campbell, 71, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, surrounded by her husband and seven children. She was born to Robert Forrest and Mary Helen Brown on Sept. 14, 1938, in Chanute, Kan. She married Frank Campbell on Dec. 23, 1972, in Cloudcroft.
Mary Ann was a loving wife, always presenting herself in a respectful manner. She accomplished her goal of being the perfect helpmate for her spouse. Mary Ann was an outstanding wife, a caring mother and a loyal friend. She welcomed people to share her life and, as a good mentor, was always encouraging. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and craftwork, completing every task in an artistic form with perfection. Mary Ann loved the Lord and spent much of her time studying the Bible. She was baptized into the Christadelphian faith on Nov. 17, 1974.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Frank Campbell, and seven children, Charla Fuller, of Alamogordo; Sherry Blades, of Alamogordo; Jim Worcester, of Temple, Texas; Tim Worcester and wife, Priscilla, of Roswell; Kim Bussell and husband, David, of Monticello, Ark.; Sharon Baca, of Lazbuddie, Texas; and Brenda Salazar and husband, Steve, of Flagstaff, Ariz. Survivors also include her brother Bobby Brown and wife, Rosemary, of Temple; sister Susan Priest and husband, Lloyd, of Florence, Mont.; sisters-in-law Margie Boyce, of Artesia, Lucille Goodlander, of Artesia, and Joann Stickle, of Canton, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at Hamilton-O'Dell Chapel with Charles Walker officiating. Graveside services will immediately follow at 16 Springs Canyon in Cloudcroft.
A potluck dinner will follow graveside services at the 16 Springs Canyon fire hall.
Pallbearers include her grandsons Cody Blades, Jonathan Gutierrez, James Baca, Timothy Salazar, Jeffery Salazar and J.J. Salazar. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Zachary Blades, Tyrel Medina, Micheal Worcester, Christopher Bussell, Cole Kramerick, Charles Baca and Billy Wells.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
