Mary E. Ledbetter Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Ledbetter, of Alamogordo, walked into the arms of her lord and savior on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Mary was born Aug. 31, 1944, in Tulsa, Okla., to Roy and Lelia Stevens.
She was a devoted wife, mom, Nana, sister, daughter and aunt. As an active supporter of Southern Baptist missions and the Women's Missionary Union, she loved her lord and dedicated her life to God's kingdom. She lived her faith daily; God's love shined through her, strengthening both her family and everyone with whom she came into contact. Mary and her husband, Doug, have been members of the Alamogordo community since 1995 and have been in the Tularosa Basin/Sacramento Mountain area since 1990.
She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas, of the family home; son Warren Ledbetter and wife, Lesley, of Alamogordo; daughter Diane Taylor and husband, Vernon, of Alamogordo; daughter, Deborah Russell and husband, Brad, of Little Rock, Ark.; granddaughter Elizabeth and grandson, Jordan, of Little Rock; grandson Joseph, of Alamogordo; mother Lelia, of El Paso; brother Jim Stevens, of El Paso; brother Roy Stevens Jr. and wife, Chris, of Des Moines, Iowa; sister Nancy West and husband, Eddie, of West Memphis, Ark.; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A public viewing will be held at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home in Alamogordo from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013. The family will celebrate Mary's life at First Baptist Church of Alamogordo at 3 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013.

The Ledbetter family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Hamilton O'Dell Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
