Mary Lillian Crimmins, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went peacefully to her eternal resting place Monday, April 18, 2011.
Mary Lillian Crimmins was born Feb. 28, 1931, to Charles J. Forrester and Mary E. Fahey in Roxbury, Mass. Mary graduated from Stetson High School in Randolph, Mass., in 1949. She attended IBM school and became a key punch operator. Mary skated every week in Norwood, Mass., where she met and eventually married her roller-skating sweetheart, Jack, in Alaska in 1951. This was the start of her extensive travels around the world while Jack served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mary and Jack relocated from France to Alamogordo in 1966, where Mary lived and worked for 32 years until 1998. She then spent the last 13 years in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Mary was a member of the hospital auxiliary, where she enjoyed her volunteer work. In 1986, Mary was appointed a special minister of the Holy Communion and loved being able to serve many years as a Eucharist minister.
Mary so loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that their lives were enriched by her devotion, dignity and grace. Mary will be sorely missed, however her presence will be felt every day in the hearts of those who were honored to be blessed by her love and compassion.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Crimmins; parents; and brothers Harold and Charles Forrester.
Survivors include her children, Dan Crimmins (Brigitte ), of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Donna Crimmins-Bonnell (Gerald), of Arlington Texas, Dave Crimmins (Mary), of Colorado Springs, Darrell Crimmins (Dawn), of Newberry, Fla., Dennis Crimmins (Nell), of Alamogordo, and Doug Crimmins, of The Colony, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother John Forrester; and many nieces and nephews.
