Miguel Raymond Placencio
Miguel Raymond Placencio, 58, of Las Cruces, entered eternal life Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1952, in Silver City to Cipriano and Elvira Gomez Placencio. Miguel served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his brothers Benny Placencio, of Silver City, Raymundo Placencio, of Las Cruces, Cippy Placencio, of Rolland Heights, Calif., and Robert (Baco) Placencio, of Mesa, Ariz.; four sisters, Connie Trejo, of Fresno, Calif., Margaret Arvey, of Silver City, and Genevieve (Beani) Pajkowski and Patti Gomez, both of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, Michael Placencio, Randy "Raul" and Ivan Placencio, all of Phoenix; and two daughters, Margo Placencio, also of Phoenix, and Eraina Serna, of Las Vegas, Nev. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Visitation for Miguel will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina St. Cremation will follow and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.
Serving as casket bearers will be Richard Portillo, Michael Placencio, Ralph Placencio, Randy Placencio, Ivan Placencio, Augie Ydurate and Michael Dallas Placencio.
