Loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister
Mona Lisa Moya went home to be with God on Sunday, March 20, 2011, in Alamogordo. She was born Feb. 23, 1954, to Benjamin T. Moya and Lucia J. Delgado Moya.
Survivors include children Gabriel Moya and wife, Corina, of Artesia, Candida "Kandi" Moya, of Alamogordo, and Delores Moya, of Alamogordo; grandchildren Gabriel B. Moya Jr., of Las Cruces, Christopher M. Flores, of Alamogordo, Selina A. Garcia, of Alamogordo, and DeAndra Acosta, Bobbie Sanchez, Melinda Acosta and Vanessa Montgomery, of Artesia; mother, Lucia J. Delgado Moya, of Alamogordo; brother Esquiel Moya, of Tularosa; sister Delfina Moya Brewer and husband, Sonny, of Foley, Ala.; nieces Jennifer Drake, Sarah Melendez and Alicia Moya; nephews Christopher Moya, Rene Melendez, Gilley Petersen, Esquiel Moya Jr. and Isaiah Moya; and special friends Betty Brasfield, cousin Mary Vigil and Peggy Sutton.
She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin T. Moya; grandparents Pedro Delgado and Maramin Varrios Delgado, Candido L. Moya, and Carmen Torres Moya; and uncles Frank Moya, Candido Moya and Manny Moya.
A family viewing was held Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Alamogordo Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at New Covenant Worship Center at 700 E. First St., Suite 721, on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 5 p.m., presided by J.L. Walker.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place at PCS.
