Natividad C. (Gutierrez) Apodaca Obituary
Natividad C. Gutierrez Apodaca went to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, in Las Cruces. Natividad was born Dec. 25, 1932, in Alamogordo to Isaac and Ramona Carabajal.
She is survived by her husband, Juan Apodaca, of La Luz; a son, Salvador Gutierrez, and his wife, Stella; two daughters, Rosalinda Justice and her husband, James, and Liza Marie Gutierrez and Jesus Rodriquez; three stepchildren, Max and Joe Apodaca, of Las Cruces, and Michelle Apodaca, of El Paso; 19 grandchildren, Anthony, Sonya and Raashel Gutierrez, Rehanna Chavez and her husband, Anthony, Daniel and his wife, Yarenis, Frances, Graciela and Salina Gutierrez, Michelle, Juan and Isaac Mirabal and his wife, Diana, Angelique Rodriquez and Jacob Sanchez, all of Alamogordo, Bernadette Armijo, of Albuquerque, Taylor, Alex, Andrea and Sol Reyeo, and Sofia, Juan, Aaron, Andrea and Hope Apodaca, of Las Cruces; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by six sisters, Chelo Flores, Esperanza Parra, Sally Lee, Carmen Paz, Lita Pena and Gloria Hernandez; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose S. Gutierrez; son Arturo Gutierrez; grandchildren Natasha and Phillip Sanchez; stepsons Daniel and John Apodaca; parents Ramona and Issac; and brothers Dan, Paul and Isaac Carabajal.
Pallbearers include her grandsons Anthony, Daniel, Juan, Isaac and Jacob; stepsons Max and Joe Apodaca; and great-grandson Santiago Mirabal.
Honorary pallbearers include all her great-grandchildren and all her nephews and nieces.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Lady of the Light Catholic Church.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 3, 2010, at Lady of the Light Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at Lady of the Light Catholic Church with Father Bruce Hausfeld, O.F.M., celebrant. Interment will follow at La Luz Catholic Cemetery.
