Nina Rae Calvert, 82
Nina Rae Calvert, 82, of High Rolls, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in Alamogordo. Rae was the loving wife of C.R. "Cal" Calvert, who predeceased her in 1998.
She was born Aug. 17, 1928, in Lansford, N.D., to Raymond and Corinne Nelson Baggenstoss.
She is survived by her sister Bonnie O'Quin, of Mineral Wells, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; daughter Bonnie Rae Cawthon Yates and her husband, Chuck, of Talent, Ore.; Cal's daughters Patricia Ray Calvert, of High Rolls, and Emily Heim, of Las Vegas, Nev.,; grandchildren Eric Heim, Olivia Heim, Ricquie Heim and Kurtis Nielsen; and great-grandson Carson.
She is also predeceased by her sister Joan Hilton; and Cal's daughter, Rebecca Calvert.
Rae retired in 1985 after 35 years with Eastman Kodak Co. in Dallas. She was the owner of Juniper Park in High Rolls until 2006.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at James Canyon Cemetery with Chuck Moon officiating. The family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at the Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home chapel.
