Norma Jean Dooley

Obituary Condolences

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother Norma Jean Dooley entered life eternal Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Jan. 19, 1933, in Hillsboro, Ill., she was raised in southwestern New Mexico and attended Western New Mexico University in Silver City, where she met and later married Frank Dooley on Aug. 20, 1954.
Jean and Frank raised four children: Tim, Bryan, Sandy and a foster son Warren during a fruitful life in Deming. Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Frank; her brother Don Chaudoin; her children, their spouses and 12 grandchildren.
Jean was a dedicated mother and coach's wife. She loved outdoor family activities, rock hounding, listening to music, collecting art and antiques, cooking for family and friends, and shopping for shoes. Her warm smile brightened many rooms and her family meals, especially tacos and New Mexican food, will be forever remembered. Jean's celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living, 2801 Louisiana Blvd. NE, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice and the American Parkinson Disease Association.
