Ole Jorgensen Obituary
Ole Jorgensen, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, in Las Cruces after a short illness. He was born Nov. 28, 1937, in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Aage and Karne Jorgensen.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and retired as a master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service. He was an electronics technician. He was an amateur ham radio operator since 1956. He was an avid fisherman and a proud American who loved his country.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Jorgensen, of the family home; his sons David Jorgensen and wife, Sherri, of Deming, and Scott Scarnechia, of Abilene, Texas; daughters Salli Manning and husband, Bruce, of Alamogordo, Cheryl Bullard and husband, Raymond, of Albuquerque, and Melissa Reiser and husband, Ken, of Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren Joshua, Jerec, Ammittria, Ashlee, Ryan, Heather, Michael and Wyatt; and great-granddaughter, Alexis.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1316 Scenic Drive, Alamogordo, with Pastor Jon Dowling officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard.
Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
The Jorgensen family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
