Pansy Mae ((Boone)) Duncan Obituary
Pansy Mae (Boone) Duncan 96 passed into the arms of our savior on December 22, 2017.

Pansy was born in Weed, New Mexico on December 12, 1921 to B. Boone and Ida (Hadley Joy) Boone.

In 1939, Claude F. Duncan and Pansy Boone married. They resided in Alamogordo. During their early years, Pansy worked as a waitress and motel housekeeper and then as a housewife. They had no children. They were active in the VFW. After Claude's death in 1963, Pansy cared for her elderly mother. Pansy enjoyed her pets, gardening and spending time with the Otero County Senior Citizens group serving as their president during the early 1980's. Pansy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and more recently a member of Cornerstone Chapel.

Pansy was preceded in death by her husband Claude Duncan, her parents, two siblings Sidney Boone and Dorothy Louise Boone and three half-sisters Mina (Joy) Hazen, Arta (Joy) Cady, and Jean (Joy Singer) Mayberry, two nieces and two nephews.

Pansy is survived by several nieces and nephews including Paul and Ginger Boone of Fort Worth, Texas, Darrel Boone of Truth or Consequences, Robert and Jo Boone of Olga, Washington, Delbert and Thelma Boone of Las Cruces, Tanya Lujan of Albuquerque, Dude Fanning of Arizona, Shirley (Stone) and Noel Akers of Weed, New Mexico, RL Cady of Alamogordo, Helen and Ernest Stone of Alamogordo, Preston and Delores Cady of Mesquite, Texas, Beverly and Joe Ward of Tolar, Texas, Norman and June Cady of Alamogordo, Harold Singer of Nevada, Jerry Mayberry of Las Vegas, Nevada and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6 at 2:30 pm at Cornerstone Chapel, 88 Alamotero, Alamogordo, New Mexico. Interment will take place at Monte Vista Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cornerstone Chapel, PO Box 1871, Alamogordo, NM 88311 or to a .
