Paul Isaac Bishop

Obituary Condolences

Paul Isaac Bishop, 17, was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico on November 2, 1990 to Danny and Nelda Bishop. He grew up in Alamogordo and attended Community Christian School from kindergarten to 10th grade. He attended Alamogordo High School for his eleventh grade year and was a senior there this year, and have graduated with the class of 2009.
We mourn the loss of a brilliant young man, Paul Isaac Bishop. Paul was taken into the loving arms of Jesus on October 18, 2008. He was seventeen. We now also celebrate his life. In Paul's short journey on this earth, he accomplished much and touched so many lives. Paul lived his life to the fullest, and was a shining example of God's love. Paul loved all people, and he loved the Lord. With this knowledge we rest assured that Paul is in the loving arms of Christ.
Growing up, Paul enjoyed many different things. At a young age he was in karate, he played basketball, and he played the violin and drums. Paul also loved art from a young age and truly became a superb artist over the last several years. Paul had many talents, but when Paul picked up a guitar at the age of 14 he had found his true calling. Some of Paul's very best times were spent writing and playing music with his band, The Pioneers of Primetime TV.
Paul was meek, gentle and humble…these were his greatest strengths. He loved nature and animals and anything unique. Paul also blessed us with his amazing sense of humor. Paul loved his friends and his family with all his heart and he never left any of us without making sure we knew it.
Paul leaves behind his mother, Nelda Bishop of Alamogordo. He also leaves behing his sisters, Lacey Bishop of Alamogordo and Danette Tibbitt of Albuquerque. He leaves a huge family that loves him, and countless friends that adore him. Paul has joined his father Danny Bishop in heaven, as well as his grandparents Alfred and Nolene Nowell, and Paul and Billie Bishop.
If you had the privilege of knowing Paul, then you knew this-Paul didn't follow the crowd, or lead it. He simply stayed true to himself.
We welcome you to join us for a celebration of Paul's life today at 2:00 p.m. This would have been Paul's eighteenth birthday. The celebration will be held at the home of his best friend and band-mate, Thomas Thorp, at 9 Gentry Road in La Luz. The celebration will include a pot-luck and memorial set up for Paul where we welcome you to bring any kind of memento that you would like to leave for him. We will also be releasing balloons for Paul at 4 p.m. We hope that you will release a balloon in Paul's honor whether you are able to attend his celebration or not, and feel free to attach a message of love to your balloon.
We will hold Paul's memory in our hearts forever, and we well forever hold on to the joy that he brought into our lives.
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. Romans 8:18-21
