Peggy Frances Adair Ryan Obituary

Peggy Frances Adair Ryan, 84, of Alamogordo, passed away Jan. 12, 2015, leaving behind -- and rejoining -- more friends than there are stars in the sky.

She was born June 4, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Thomas Walter and Ruby Adair. Her stepfather, Jackie Garner, was a loving and devoted man who helped raise her after Walter passed away.
Peggy married Jack O. Reynolds in 1948 and had two sons whom she adored, David and Kenny. Throughout her time here, Peggy traveled near and far, amassing her friends and seizing life's moments everywhere she went. Family and friends were invariably greeted as "sweetheart" which was sealed with a kiss.
Being a sharp dresser, she was nominated as one of the Best Dressed of the Southwest by New Mexico Magazine. She also loved singing with the Sweet Adeline's, and once performed at Carnegie Hall in New York city.
Besides her family, Peggy loved good company, classical music, Cutty Sark, fireplaces, candles, warm weather, her signature red nails and Cadillacs.
Peggy was a member of the Moose Lodge, where she loved going to have a cold beverage with friends – and we will lift another to her in a celebration of her life 3 p.m. on Jan. 24. at the Moose Lodge in Alamogordo.

Peggy was preceded in death by her longtime companion Walter Larsson and late husbands Ed Ryan, Red Mitchell, and Jack Reynolds.

She is survived by her two sons Kenny and David Reynolds; in addition to her pride and joy her granddaughters Shelley Macaw, Suzanne Estrada and her husband Brian, and Shannon Ligon and her husband Justin -- along with great grandchildren Laykenn, Chelsie, Shantel, Robert Alec, Zoey, Payton and Victor. She also leaves behind a brother, Tommy Adair, nieces and nephews and many more friends who she considered family.

Direct Cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
