Ralph Earl Bellon Obituary
Ralph Earl Bellon was reunited with his sweetheart, Janice, in their heavenly home, on March 19, 2018.
Ralph was born in Beulah, North Dakota on January 30, 1931, the eldest of 3 children, to the late Edwin and Hilda Bellon. His family moved to Charlo, Montana when he was only 8 years old and he graduated High School from Polson, Montana in 1949. As a young man he had a great love for the outdoors and his mountainous home and enjoyed camping, hunting, and boating on the beautiful Flathead Lake. Ralph had an early love for the Lord and gave his heart to Him at an early age.
He met and married his lifelong love, Janice (Keller) Bellon, on May 16, 1951 and the couple was blessed with two wonderful children. They raised their family in Polson, Montana where Ralph owned and operated 3 logging trucks and hauled many large loads of logs out of the woods until 1971 when they moved their family to Alamogordo, New Mexico. In Alamogordo he supported his family by working for Ira Holiday Logging as the shop foreman, where he was responsible for approximately 12 trucks, and then for Sutton Brock Ford as the Fleet Sales Manager.
Ralph will always be lovingly remembered for his dynamic personality. Never one to do things halfway, always completing a task to the best of his abilities. He was a lively story-teller and blessed to be surrounded by loved ones always anxious to hear about his days gone by, past hunting adventures, or his days spent watching the wildlife on the patio of their home in Ruidoso. God gave Ralph a beautiful voice which he used for the Lord. He continued to sing throughout the rest of his life, leading worship and song service in Alamogordo and Ruidoso.
He is survived by his son Lonnie Bellon and wife Patricia; daughter Sherrie Bellon; a sister LeeNora Hodge and husband Ernie; a brother Elbie Bellon and wife Karen; grandchildren Michael Bellon and wife Torrey; Daniel Markham and wife Tammy; Brian Bellon and wife Tara; Hollie Markham; Jared Bellon and wife Maylene; and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two unofficially adopted children, Georgie Williams and Pio Ruoss. He is preceded in death by his parents, and an infant grandson, Steven Bellon.
He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Janice, who has had a warm Kuchen (German coffee cake) waiting for him in heaven for 7 months now.
The family will be holding services for both Ralph and Janice Bellon on April 7, 2018 at 2:00 at River Crossing Ministries 1950 Sudderth Drive, Ruidoso, NM.
