1935 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Ralph Kenneth Millam, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 in Alamogordo, New Mexico surrounded by his children. He was born Aug. 8, 1935 in Page Township, (near Milaca) Minnesota to Kenneth and Clara (Pautz) Millam.

He was raised on a farm with eight siblings. He left MN to find better wages and moved to Wenatchee, WA where he graduated High School in 1953. Ralph joined the Marines, worked as a mechanic, was honorably discharged, met and married Ruth Ellen Miller in OH. They had four children and moved to NM in 1974. Ralph & Ruth celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Ralph worked a variety of jobs over the years including Mayflower, International Harvester, Frigidaire, Construction, Mechanic, Guard at Santa Fe Penitentiary, and Janitor at the Land office in Santa Fe. He was proud of his military service in the U.S. Marine Corp and U.S. Army Reserve.

He enjoyed playing with his children, anyone else's children, visiting family, helping people, all creation, joking around, and any type of vehicle. He served His Savior by teaching Sunday School, driving and repairing church busses, prison ministry, and Shalom ministries.

Ralph will be remembered for his passion for God, prayer, and the Bible, love for America and his family. He was also known as "Preacher." His siblings called him "Percy."

Ralph was preceded in death by his father, mother, son, David, wife, siblings: Charlotte, Marilyn, Marvin, and many other loved ones.

Survivors include his children: Naomi (Bill) Myer, Rose (Mark) Beckman, Steve (Priscilla) Millam, granddaughter Danielle Beckman, siblings: June (Jerry) Delong, Myrtle (Gary) Robinson, Virginia Robinson, Lester (Barb) Millam, many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and in laws.

A service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 1:30pm in the Pavilion at The National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Pallbearers include Steve Millam, Charles Garcia, Leon Hayes, and Joe Garcia. A Celebration of life will follow.

Should friends desire, contributions may be made to benefiting those in need, or to support excellent hospice services.

The Millam family have entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
