Ramon "Oscar" Marquez Obituary

Oscar was born April 16, 1947 to Jesus and Petra Marquez in Presidio, Texas. Oscar entered into the presence of our Lord on November 1, 2015.

He is survived by his son Michael and daughter in law Amanda, his pride and joys, his grandchildren, Roy "Buddy" Nichols, Jude, Jaelene and Joses Marquez, all of Alamogordo. Oscar had four sisters; Agripina Leyba and husband Tim, Maria Rubio, Rosa Aguilar all of Artesia and Grace Lopez and husband Joe of Ruidoso; three brothers, Jose Marquez and wife Belen of Espanola, Lupe Marquez and wife Esperanza of Artesia and Henry Marquez and wife Mary of Jemez Springs, sister in law Nena Marquez wife of his late brother Jesus and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jesus "Chuchi" Marquez.

Services will be held November 5, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church beginning with the viewing at 8 a.m. followed by the Rosary and Mass. Burial will take place after the services at Monte Vista Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Chris Lopez, Israel Rubio, Ruben Aguilar, Noel Marquez, Richard Marquez and Tim Leyba. Honorary pallbearers will be his good friends Joe Gomez and Faustino "Noonie" Perez Jr.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice Home Healthcare of Alamogordo or the Wounded Warrior Foundation in Oscar's honor.

The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services.
