1958 - 2008 Obituary Condolences
Rebecca Herrera Jewitt is the daughter of Pablo Fidel and Margaret Herrera.
A victim of domestic violence, Becky will be laid to rest at NAS in Pensacola, Fla., Monday, July 28, 2008. Becky was a native of Alamogordo. She was a loving sister, mother and friend. Becky had a huge heart that matched her smile and personality. She took whatever was dealt her in stride and fought back with a positive attitude. She was a diabetic and, most recently, a cancer survivor.
She is survived by two sons, Patric Hewitt, of Orlando, Fla., and Paul Hewitt, of Corpus Cristi, Texas, and his fiancee, Nicole. Becky is also survived by 10 brothers and sisters and their families. Brothers are Richard Herrera and Joann Fisk; Franklin and Rebecca Herrera; James (Foxy) Herrera and Anthony and Lori Herrera. Sisters are Fidela and Victor Prado, of Farmington; Gloria and Mike Gonzales, of Long Beach, Calif.; Mary and John Marinoff, of Vandis Heights, Minn.; Dolores and Bob Borges, of Albuquerque; Carmen and Mark Kendrick, of Lillian, Ala.; Juanita and Paul Bettcher, of Lindstorm, Minn., and Billie Jo, of Charleston, S.C.
Nephews and nieces are Richard Glenn, John Herrera, James Todd, Phillip and April Herrera, Raquel Herrera, Christian Kiscadon, Michelle Gonzales, Margaret Marinoff, Marle Borges, Breanna Borges, Adam Bettcher, Brittany Bettcher, Joshua Kendrick and a special niece, Veronica Hanna.
Becky had a special place in her heart for her great-nephews and nieces Isabella and Piage Hanna; Mark, Peyton and Eli Kendrick; Eric, Addyson and Jordyn Borges; and Gabriela Borges Morales.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Cure for Breast Cancer Association.
Funeral services are under the direction of Faith Chapel Funeral Home, Pensacola, Fla.
