Richard L. Padilla Obituary
Richard L. Padilla, 83, entered into eternal rest on January 8, 2018 in Alamogordo, N.M.

He was born on February 12, 1934 in Guy, N.M. to Donaciano and Flora Padilla. He moved to Trinidad, CO where he met and married the love of his life, Anita M. Leyba in 1955. They had 57 wonderful years together. Richard and Anita raised seven beautiful children. Richard proudly served his country as a Firefighter (Fire and Rescue) with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1972. He did numerous tours of duty overseas and stateside. Finally retiring out of Holloman A.F.B. and making Alamogordo his home. Richard went to work for Civil Service at Holloman with the Fire Dept. where he spent another twenty years, finally retiring as a Station Captain with over 40 total years with the Fire Dept.

Richard prided himself with strong family values. He would always say, ""Be there for your family, love and take care of them."" He was always there for anyone who needed help, no matter what. He was a very honest man and expected that from his children. A man who, if you said you were going to do something, then you better do it. Be true to your word. He would say ""Take care of business.""

Richard loved his wife and children dearly. There was no stronger love, than what he had for his family. Richard will be greatly missed by family and friends.
