Obituary Condolences

Robert A. Duran was born Jan. 10, 1925, in Tularosa. He passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at his residence in Albuquerque.
Robert honorably served his country in the Army, and served in the Philippine Islands during World War II. Robert will be remembered as being a trooper to the end and always making friends everywhere he went. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved baseball.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Teddy Duran.
He is survived by his two daughters, Chris Parra and Al Montoya, and Crystal Sanchez and Rudy Rodriguez; one son, Robert "Bobby" Duran and wife Maria; one brother, Ernest Duran and wife Elena; two sisters, Josephine Garcia and husband Joe, and Mona Greenlee and husband Leon; three grandchildren, Raquel, Jeremy and Nicole; four great-grandchildren, Josephine, Damian, Isabel and Max; special friend Reyes Gurule; and other family members and many friends who loved and will miss him.
Memorial services will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE, near San Pedro and Gibson, on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007. Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. A private family burial will take place the Santa Fe National Cemetery with Army honors.
Robert, our beloved father, brother, grandfather and best friend, will be truly missed by all. He will remain in our hearts forever.
