Retired technical sergeant, U.S. Air Force
Robert E. "Clem" Clement, 76, of Alamogordo, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, in Alamogordo.
Mr. Clement was born Aug. 13, 1932, in New Castle, Pa., to W. Roscoe and Naomi (Armstrong) Clement. Dec. 1, 1974, he retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he was a crew chief on various aircraft and later became an ejection seat technician. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, B.P.O. Elks, Loyal Order of the Moose No. 2015 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7686. He liked to fish, build and fly model airplanes and loved to play shuffle board. He received many awards in numerous chili cook-offs. 
He is survived by his sister Helen McKillip and husband, Kermit, of Anamosa, Iowa, and various nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two half-sisters and a niece.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at the Moose Lodge.
Should friends desire, contributions may be made in his name to any of the organizations to which he belonged.
Direct cremation will take place under the care of PCS Direct Cremation Services.
