Robert R. Duran Obituary

Robert R. Duran, 78, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was born on April 3, 1938, to Eusebio and Felipa Duran and was a lifelong resident of Tularosa.

He was a very hard working man and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved to sing to his grandchildren, tell stories, and go fishing.

Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eufrasia "Pacha" Duran; two daughters, Annette "Tinky" Carrillo and husband Lucas Jr., and Lynette "Yuki" Duran; six grandchildren, Richard "Chop" Guilez, Christina Salazar, Kassandra Sida, Nikole Matinzo, Natalia Duran and Lucas Carillo III; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Ernie Duran, Joe Duran, Willie Duran; and sister Lupe Torres.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Yvette; brothers, Raymond, Manuel, and Carlos Duran; sisters, Susie Duran, Consuelo Camillo, and Jennie Torcia.

The Rosary for Robert Duran will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016, at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church by Steve and Liz Chavez. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016, at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church with Father Theophine Okator, Celebrant. Inurnment will follow the mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The Duran family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the services. Cremation has taken place at PCS.
