Long time Alamogordo resident  
Robert Roller, 73, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at his home in Alamogordo. He was born on April 16, 1934, in Dickenson, N.D. to Joseph B. and Mary A. (Kubishta) Roller. Robert was a resident of Alamogordo since 1959 moving here from North Dakota. He was a Veteran of the Air Force, serving in Germany from 1956 to 1959. He was a model airplane enthusiast and had patents for some of his electronic inventions. Robert retired from Honeywell as an Electronic Technician. He was a member of St. Jude Mission.  Survivors include his wife Hildegard Priedigkeit Roller of the family home; his children, Stephen Roller, of Tucson, Ariz., Rose Wright, of Boise, Idaho, Jeannie Sparkman, of Springfield, Mo., Annette Bowles, of Eastland, Texas, Robert Roller, Jr. of Alamogordo, Frank Roller, of San Jose, Calif., Frances Oliver and Veronica Roller, both of Alamogordo, and Christina McCumber, of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Roller. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at St. Jude Mission with Father Wayne Herpin S.J., Celebrant. If friends should desire please make contributions to the St. Jude Mission in lieu of flowers. Cremation will take place locally at PCS entrusted to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home.
